Derrick has always had a passion for knives and blades. He ventured into sharpening and purchased some high quality sharpening machines to get his own tools cutting better than ever . Like most people these days, Derrick took to YouTube to learn more about how to get the perfect edge on his blades and came across videos about sharpening hair shears. Through casual conversation with friends, one of whom is a licensed cosmetologist, he learned that Southeast New Mexico was in need in of a professional shear sharpener, as many had gone without having their shears maintained in a very long time. This sparked a desire in Derrick to take his passion and turn it into a business that would meet the sharpening needs of professionals in our area.

Derrick ventured to Georgia to get training from a Master Sharpener of over 30 years and received his certification deeming him a “Certified Shear Edge Technician” and “Certified Clipper Blade Technician”.
